We tried to 3-D print the shaft connector using Sketch Up, an app for 3-D modeling. A model was found on Makeblock, and it showed the radius for the circle holes. Most of the model was easy to create, as the dimensions were copied from Makeblock. However, the D-shaped hole that keeps the motor shaft to the shaft connector was a problem. A solution was created when a line with the distance of the D height was connected with an arc that had the radius of the shape. The model was almost finished when the actual part finally came in. It is shown in the featured image (the cylinder with 5 holes). Now, it holds the motor to the gear and we can continue building the vehicle.
