Hi, today we are working on our engineering and designing project. Since our minds were wondering along the lines of how our payload was going to be launched and how our counterweight was going to be held, we decided that a beam had to be necessary to hold those two on either side of it. We started by again salvaging a rectangular 1 x 36 block that was arguably perfect for the job. But we found that the block wasn’t as perfect as we thought. As we brainstormed, we saw pipes that would work better. This relates to engineering because we brainstormed formed a prototype and then found a problem. We also had to be flexible so that we could alter our original plans. Then we constructed a beam to fix the problem.
