I will be teaching you how to create a wooden toy snake. First I’m going to tell you the materials and tools you need.
- 1/8 inch diameter dowel (it depends on how long you also want your snake.)
- 2 inch wide bias tape
- Epoxy glue
- Foam sanding block
- Wood craft sticks
- Foam brush
- Scrap cardboard
- Band saw
- Stationary belt sander
- Scissors
- Ruler Pencil
Now get your dowel and cut and measure how long you want the head and body, your gonna want to make the snake flexible. Next your going be fixing the dowels body, after your done with the body you can take the snake and sand them into it’s final shape. Now your gonna cut the dowel do not cut through the whole thing only cut 3/4 into the body to make it flexible.Also cut it lengthwise to however long you want it to be. Then get a fabric and put it over your snake, you can attach the fabric by just gluing it. Now cut the discs free on the snake. Now lastly just attach the snakes head to it’s tail.
