Flying has became a huge part of life because know we have , gliders, airplanes, helicopters, jets and drones. But do you know what the first form of flight was made by a Ottoman aviator who traveled flew to one side of Istanbul to the other side only using the air to guide him.
His name was Ahmed Celebi he invented the first form of flight which was a glider the way it worked was that he took thin sheets of wool and put it with a very precise wooden bird. They also use the rope to let the wings ” fly ” by catching the wind as it pasted.
It relates to engineering because the inventor made his design by looking at eagles to see how they lifted to the air and stayed their for a long time which shows that the first engineers that they used nature as their guide.
