Samsung has recently revealed its newest tech innovation, which they call the Android XR. It is a headset that looks very similar to the Apple Vision Pro. However, the XR has AI integration through Gemini and unique features not seen previously. It runs using Androids software, this is potentially one of the biggest steps in the VR world in some time. Using this software VR headsets can be produced by many other companies rather than just Meta and now Apple. This is similar to the Android software system we see today used in countless phones around the world. The XR Headset similar to the Apple Vision Pro has virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), mixed reality (MR). This headset has not yet been released however Samsung has stated it should be released to consumers by 2025. This headset in itself is nothing revolutionary however it gives way for many more headsets to come.
