These battery powered water taxis called sea bubbles were invented by Alain Thébault. They are eco friendly, and make little to no noise. They use two electrically powered propellers mounted on the back skids to power the Bubble. When your done riding you park the bubble. At the parking station, batteries are charged using a combination of solar panels and turbines to restore the power. Some people say it is like a tesla on water. One of the greatest parts about this bubble is that it releases nearly no harmful emissions. It is also only about the size of a small car; this means it can take about 2 to 4 passengers. These boats originated in France, but they started spreading to other countries. Unfortunately, this boat is not cheap. It cost about 250,000 to buy one, but people say it is worth it since a gas powered boat needs more maintenance. The sea bubble is still a work in progress, but the most current version of Alain’s boat appears to be much closer to completion. The future customers must be relieved that a windscreen has been added, because they were probably getting soaked by the spray while operating the sea bubble. As far as it’s come, the sea bubble still has to create a whole new transportation network, obtain charging docks, and become safer to ride.
