Have you ever heard of ChatGPT or even Alexa? Those are both examples of AI. AI, or artificial intelligence, is a computer program that is designed to respond to certain issues or needs of humans. Recently, it has been evolving. ChatGPT, a new chatbot that utilizes AI to answer prompts and solve questions that we have. Though this may seem quite simple, it has been becoming more and more advanced in the past few years. In the previous months, ChatGPT has rose to fame, it can answer simple questions like 2+2 and even create college essays. This can also raise a lot of ethical questions.

DeepFakes

DeepFakes have been more and more prominent in recent years. DeepFakes showing p*rnography and sometimes painting people in bad lights have started to surface on the internet. There are many videos of even the most famous celebrities saying racial slurs and controversial statements. Some channels, such as Rebnut and Redberet have started experimenting with this technology. They created videos of presidents cursing and arguing over a game of minecraft. This shows how easily available this technology is and that anyone, anyone, can get a hold of this scary power.

ChatBots

The advancement of chat AI has been revolutionary within the past few years. ChatGPT, a new, improved, and perfected chatbot has recently taken ahold of the spotlight. It’s cutting-edge technology, and with responses to complex questions within seconds, has made people realize the power that is possessed. ChatGPT was created by OpenAI, who has already created impressive AI’s previously, with the creation of DALL-E, an AI who could generate images from a prompt. Now, the question is if these bots can take over the world and end humanity. The short answer is no, but the longer answer is maybe. If humans can limit these robots to a certain ceiling, they will never adapt and self-evolve, but, knowing who we are, humans will always want more. We will always want to have a new, better invention, and eventually someone will create a sentient AI, and that’s when we will see.

The world of AI is a deep rabbit hole with infinite possibilities and combinations. And in the end, humanities biggest enemy is ourselves.
