Pigs are animals that are intelligent and super emotional, and they can have several types of personalities; some are shy and others are curious. They are also known as hogs or swine. Male pigs of any age are called boars; female pigs are called sows, but if they are young, they are called piglets. There are many different breeds of pigs. Pigs’ habitats are in areas with temperate climatic conditions, but if they are wild pigs, their habitats are in a forest or grassy savanna areas. They can eat a variety of plants and animals, like roots, fruits, leaves, flowers, fish, eggs, and dead animals.

People might think that pigs smell bad and that they are dirty, but they indeed do not sweat, and they maintain their sleeping and eating area exceptionally clean. Whenever they start getting hot, they go cool themselves down by playing in the mud together. They are known for being the Earth’s cleanest animal because of their habitats.

Pigs enjoy wrestling and chasing each other because whenever they are alone, they start getting stressed out. They have terrible eyesight, but their sense of smell is spectacular. Pigs love attention and affection from humans. They are super friendly, but sometimes they can get bothered or mad. Pigs are also known for being smarter than dogs and they can be trained just like dogs are. They can live up to 12-20 years old. Pigs are actually white, but their skin gets pink because of the red blood cells underneath their skin which are visible due to the lack of melanin.
