June 6, 1944 The Day Of Disaster

One of the events in history that will always be remembered, but not in a positive way
June 6, 1944 The Day Of Disaster
Battle of Normandy

It was one of the biggest wars known to mankind but just imagine having to fight in it. That’s what millions of people had to go through because they wanted to protect their countries. The war was a big controversy between big countries like Germany, the USA, Japan, etc. But what made this event so remembered is the violence and amount of casualties and also it is an event that would change so much in the war. This event was going to lead to troops invading Germany and spreading onto Europe if they were successful.

D-Day planned to land the night before so they could attack from there but got held back since they were caught and the Germans were able to fight back. The day after that soldiers came through water and invaded through the shore. This exact event is what made this battle so scary and remembered. This exact event made people who experienced it have trauma and could not get over the frightening event. Once they got on the shore and started to invade they started to get shot and shot down.

They had to be careful since their lives were on the line and if they messed up it would cost them and their teammates. They just kept getting shot and the ones that died had to experience it in one of the worst ways possible. Once they got cover they had to find a way to get past the beach and onto the land. Once they got into land there wasn’t even close to the number of soldiers that came with them. To sum it all up, the USA and its allies won this battle and were able to proceed and win this war with Germany losing a terrible defeat and taking down Adolf Hitler with his Nazi.
