On November 3rd, 2022, ESTEEMStream paid for a group of students to sail along the confluence of the Anacostia, the Washington Channel, and the Potomac. The students were from Luther Jackson Middle School in Fairfax VA. Luther Jackson is one of the most diverse schools in the nation and the class that was privileged enough to go on this field trip was Mark Smith’s engineering class. Mr. Smith’s students learned about water quality and how the differences in the water can affect the environment. They also caught fish and got to hold and observe them. The students learned a lot and had a great experience and ESTEEMStream will probably give Mr. Smith’s students more trips in the future.
