Everyone has seen racecars, but have you seen flying racecars? A flying electric racecar has been made and it looks like one of the most exciting projects of the decade. It is called an Airspeeder Mk4 and it is made by Alauda Aeronautics.

What do these Airspeeders look like?

They have four vertical propellers and a single pilot. The design of these electric vehicles is inspired by 1950s and 1960s racecars. The Airspeeders weigh 286 pounds and can go from 0 to 62 mph in 2.8 seconds. They are also capable of getting up to a top speed of 225 mph in 30 seconds from a standing start. They can also reach a maximum altitude of 1600 feet. The Airspeeders are incredibly efficient, with a projected range of 118 miles with near zero emissions. This new technology allows green hydrogen to be used as fuel, providing safe, reliable, and sustainable power over long distances and flight times.

When will we get to see these Airspeeders in action?

The global premiere of these vehicles was meant to take place in 2020 but was postponed due to the global pandemic. The vehicles have just completed the necessary tests to take off and could have a Grand Prix in 2024 if everything goes to plan. Alauda Aeronautics hopes that it will be a part of the 2032 Olympics.
