Climate Change: Geoengineering a cleaner and safer environment
For the past 100 years, the Earth have increased about 2 degrees Fahrenheit and this is only average.
What is Climate Change?
Climate Change is a long-term weather condition which is mainly caused by burning fossil fuels such as gas, coal, and oil. When fossil fuel is burnt it releases carbon dioxide into the air which is causing the Earth to warm up.
How much is the Climate changing right now?
For the past 100 years, the Earth has increased about 2 degrees Fahrenheit and this is only average. As a matter of fact, the past 5 years have been the hottest in centuries. When the whole planet changes by 2 degrees, it can have an effect on the health of animals, humans, and plants. When the Earth’s climate increases to heat up, the amount of rainfalls are also expected to increase.
What Causes Climate Change?
There are many aspects that can cause the Earth’s climate. Scientists agree that the Earth is getting hotter due to human activities in the past 100 years . Human activities like cars, burning fueling factories, and buses are creating certain types of gasses in the Earth’s atmosphere that are blocking the heat from getting out. This is called the greenhouse effect. The gasses keep the Earth hot in a greenhouse. These kinds of changes cause the atmosphere to heat more than usual which can lead to even a warmer earth.
How Can We Prevent Climate Change?
One way to prevent climate change is geoengineering. Geoengineering is using human technology to save the Earth. There is an uncertainty of where geoengineering would work or not, but doing nothing is going to help the Earth. Scientists are now trying to study geoengineering. Carbon Dioxide is what is causing the Greenhouse effect. Carbon Dioxide is also causing the pollution of the ocean which will have a devastating impact on the aquatic ecosystem. Geoengineering has ways and ideas to remove carbon dioxide from our atmosphere and cool the Earth. Geoengineering ways such as Stratospheric Aerosol Injection has the ability to prevent heat waves, sea level rise, loss of glaciers, and aquatic wildlife. Geoengineering should not be the only solution but an important way to stop the Climate Change and restore biospheres where they belongs.

TAKE ACTION
Take action by using renewable energies to power your homes. Saving water can reduce pollution for the ocean. Drive a fuel-efficient vehicle to save money and fuel. Recycle our trash to prevent carbon emissions. Try to save energies at home to prevent carbon emissions to the earth. There are many ways to reduce carbon emissions and the greenhouse effect if you are willing to save our planet from climate change.
