Tesla came out with a new model called the Tesla Model S Plaid. This new car is the fastest production car as it sets record in the Maryland International Raceway. In addition, the new Tesla Model S Plaid has 3 differences compared to the Tesla Model S. They are the amount of motors, speed, and price.

The first difference are the motors. The Tesla Model S Plaid has an extra motor compared to the Tesla Model S. These motors are electric and are located on the sides and front of the Tesla. The Tesla Model S dual motors produce 670 horsepower while the Tesla Model S Plaid tri motors produces 1020 horsepower. That is a difference of 350 horsepower.

Another difference is the speed. The Tesla Model S Plaid can go from 0-60 mph in 1.99 seconds while the Tesla Model S can go in 3.1 seconds. Both speeds are ridiculously fast but the Tesla Model S Plaid has a 1.99 second improvement. However, this improvement decreases the amount of miles the Tesla Model S Plaid can go before needing to charge to 396 miles. This is 9 miles less than the Tesla Model S.

The final difference is the price. The Tesla Model S Plaid and the Tesla Model S have a difference in price. The Tesla Model S Plaid is $124,490 while the Tesla Model S is $89,490. However, both of these prices don’t include the price of a different color paint, different wheels, and whether or not you want fully self driving.

In conclusion, the Tesla Model S Plaid is a big upgrade in terms of the horsepower and speed. The 350 difference in horsepower allows the car to go 1.11 second faster when going from 0-60 mph. However, with this better horsepower and speed the Tesla Model S Plaid costs more money. The $35,000 difference in money determines if it is worth it for some people. For most people who love fast cars, it is worth it. However, for people who don’t mind the difference in speed will think that it isn’t worth it.
