A laser cutter works by using a high temperature laser to cut through a certain material, most commonly metal. It works similarly to using a magnifying glass and the light from the sun in order to light an object on fire. Similarly, it has a different reaction depending on the material you try to cut. Laser cutters have many advantages over conventional ways of cutting due to its precision. It can be adjusted to change the size and shape of the cut, heat, length, and intensity making it flush and exact as possible. The word laser stands for Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation. In other words, a laser is a concentrated beam of light. This increases the heat which allows it to cut through or melt objects.
