The African continent is going through a split that could impact the entire middle-eastern part and split entire ecosystems and forests apart. This big split could change the earth as we know it and the species of animals there. The ecosystems, trees, and animals that we will lose due to this huge split across the continent of Africa. (The estimated time for this split is 2.5-10 million years from now). This could make the new continent like a big island and it could get the most water out of any continents by far and could get flooding weekly

How we can slow the split down

It can’t be stopped, but it can be slowed by us not working around the area of where it’s forming the crack and not destroying homes near the site where it’s happening. The rift could have a chance of not happening, but it’s not worth the risk and we should do something before it’s too late. This is very big news as this could effect millions as another continent will be formed after this event happens.
