COVID 19. It made history. We’re living it. The thing is, its evolving. Experts say SARS-CoV-2 originated in bats. Then it transferred through another animal, and then a human ate it or made contact with it and then brought the disease back to society. The disease was so contagious it quickly spread around the world.  Masks were first   recommended by the CDC on April 3, 2020 which was the first technology to help you stay safe from the virus.

These are some of the important dates involving approved vaccines. This was the next step.

November 5, 2021      CDC published ACIP Interim Recommendations for use of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine in children aged 5-11 years
October 29, 2021     CDC published ACIP Recommendations for COVID-19 additional primary and booster doses
May 14, 2021           ACIP Interim Recommendations for use of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine in Adolescents Aged 12–15 years.
March 2, 2021          CDC published ACIP interim recommendations for the use of Janssen (Johnson and Johnson) COVID-19 vaccine.
December 20, 2020 CDC published ACIP interim recommendations for the use of Moderna COVID-19 vaccine.
December 13, 2020 CDC published ACIP interim recommendations for the use of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine.

Then things started to go downhill. The Delta variant was First found in India later in 2020, Delta spread rapidly through India and Great Britain before reaching the U.S., where it quickly grew. It was mid-December, the COVID variant was responsible for more than 99% of COVID-19 cases at the time. It was easily getting through vaccines. That’s why the CDC recommended booster vaccines.

Then Omicron hit. The COVID variant was first reported to the World Health Organization from South Africa on the 24th of November 2021. It was spreading way faster then Delta but wasn’t as dangerous. most cases of COVID now are omicron.

Some people think it will just become “normal” and we will masks all the time. Some people think that its almost over and the variants are getting weaker. We don’t know what’s next, but I suspect that its not going away soon.
