The Ford GT40 is the best race car made by shelby american. The engine is called a bundle of snakes because there are a lot of pipes above the engine, but the engine is 427 large block that has been twin turboed nicknamed the beast. It needs to be light enough to do 200 on a straight and strong enough to keep it up for 3,000 miles without brake.  Then the Ford GT40 won daytona and sebring with miles winning both, and Ford placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd in a photo finish with Bruce Mclaren the founder of the car company Mclaren.
