JAXA, the head of Japanese authority beyond the atmosphere is sending a mission to one of the Martian moons known as Phobos. This mission is also the first ever mission from Earth that will take a sample from Phobos and bring it back to our home planet. The mission will be called Martian Moons eXploration or MMX for short. MMX will launch in 2024 and return around 2030

This Relates to aerospace engineering because the engineers at JAXA have to design a satellite that can withstand the atmosphere and temperature of space. They also need to figure out the best way to transport the satellite from Japan into space and back again.
