New Lexus Hover Board works like Back to the Future’s

The Lexus Hover board is made with Bamboo and carbon fiber and hovers and inch or 2 off a concrete surface. At first glance it looks like a skateboard but it has no trucks or wheels and emits wisps of smoke while running. It was used on a special built skate park and it uses special tracks that makes the board magnetically levitate off the ground. The board relies on flux pinning like the flux capacitor in back to the future and also use’s a principle called Meissner effect. This all work because of super conduction and a superconductor is a material that cooled to a very low critical temperature (-197°) by reservoir liquid nitrogen. The track contains 3 magnets that induce a current in the blocks, the Meissner effect takes hold and expel the magnetic field back towards the track in a mirror image. These mirroring magnetic forces repel each other and the board hovers off the ground. This processes is very very complicated but it has been done by Lexus engineers.

This is related to engineering because they had to figure out the processes of building the hover board and also they had to figure out how to make it hover and be ride able.
