We are creating a sign for the woodworking shop using a CNC machine. The sign will say Chop Shop. The CNC machine in our shop has never been used before, and we are in the process of setting it up. Our CNC machine is a NextWave Shark HD4. We still need to download the software, update it, and register our machine with NextWave. Another thing that we will need to do is to organize all of the cables, so that they don’t stick out. We will probably end up using Plexiglas or something similar as our material to be cut. The machine uses a drill to cut through the material. It moves by being connected to two servo motors. The boxes download the 3D model of what will be made, and send it to the machine, basically like a 3D-printer.
