This is very helpful to the environment, especially since it can be controlled. Its helpful because, it collects trash from water like the ocean and lake. This makes it so much easier for the water to get cleaned. Its important that the water stays clean so the animals that live underneath are not harmed. While someone is controlling it, they manage it to get the robot to go around and collect trash. Although, it still has trouble detecting trash this is a good use. The way it pulls trash in is with a net.
This is related to engineering because, it needs to be built with a proper sensor that works and is able to detect trash. Also, its relates to environmental engineering because it cleans the water makes it safe for drinking and safe for sea animals.
