Looking at Mars, it’s a very stunning red planet. It’s the fourth planet away from the Sun which is about 140 million miles away. But have you ever what is it like on Mars? If so, this is a great article for you!

The weather on Mars usually ranges from -81 to -220 degrees. As you can tell the weather on Mars is way different compared to Earth. No human can live there without safety equipment and supplies. Mars’s atmosphere consists of more than 95% worth of carbon dioxide and less than 1% oxygen. The red planet’s atmosphere is very thin, about 100 times thinner than Earth’s. It’s very different compared to Earth. Researchers say that if astronauts are successfully able to land on Mars, there is a slight possibility to live there. The times on Mars are slightly different from Earth. A day on Mars is about 24.6 hours. That’s is kind of similar to Earth’s time surprisingly, it’s just a bit long.  A year on the red planet would be about 687 days. That about double the amount of days compared to Earth.

Mars is a very cool planet. Sadly we can’t live on there. There is still much more research we have to do about the red planet. Hopefully, in the future, scientists can create more highly advanced equipment and materials for us to go there or maybe live there!
