Quantum Gravity

By: Khue Vu, Journalist
Quantum gravity is one of the biggest unsolved problems in modern physics. It seeks to unify two of the most successful theories in science: quantum mechanics, which governs the world of particles and forces, and general relativity, which describes the structure of spacetime and gravity. Despite their individual successes, these two theories are fundamentally incompatible at extreme scale, such as inside black holes or at the moment of the Big Bang.

The Double-Slit Experiment

By: Khue Vu, Journalist
The double-slit experiment reveals the strange and counter-intuitive nature of quantum mechanics, challenging our understanding of reality. The experiment was originally conducted by Thomas Young in the early 19th century to demonstrate the nature of light, the experiment has since become a cornerstone in quantum physics, showing that particles such as electrons and photons exhibit both wave-like and particle-like properties, depending on how they are observed.

Quantum Entanglement

By: Khue Vu, Journalist
Quantum entanglement describes a special connection between two or more particles where the state of one particle is directly connected to the others, no matter how far apart they are. This idea was first thought of in the 1930s by Albert Einstein, Boris Podolsky, and Nathan Rosen.

An Introduction To Quantum Mechanics

By: Benita Xavier, Journalist
Tsunamis, being exceptionally treacherous, are impossible to stop, leaving us with the only option of evacuating the area as our survival while abandoning many buildings behind. Not all people escape in time, ending up in a life-threatening situation, in which many of them die. What should we do about this disastrous event and how can we lessen the amounts of deaths because of it?
