Today I realized the arm of my robot was to short. So I decided to take the old one apart and install a lengthier bar. This will allow the claw to have a larger area of reach.
Today I finished the support for the claw arm and the claw itself. This allow the claw arm and the claw to move steadily.
I started to attach one of the engines to the base, so the robot will be able to drive. I am currently looking for a piece, and then I will be finished with one of the engines.
Today I added a gear to a bar. I then connected this bar to the vertical bar connecting the frame of the robot to the arm mechanism. The arm of the robot will move the claw up and down.
Today I knolled my work station, so I could access my parts easier. I also figured out what parts to use and change for my next step in the building process.
The next step is in the "Next Step...

I have finished constructing the robot. It will be able to move and turn in all directions. As shown in the video below the robot can function properly on uneven land. However, it performs better on an...
Today in engineering I built the base of my robot so that the robot could have a foundation to be built on.
Today I put on two thin bars on either side of the arm. This will keep the arm in place. I made the plate beneath the brain connected to the frame more tight. I finally put on the claw. This will grab...
Today I was experimenting with different ways I can make the claw move, so that it can be more stable, and move with both bars. Next class I will add another gear because the arm is too heavy.
Today I realized that the top bar of the arm was unnecessary. It got in the way of the mobility of the arm, so I removed it. I added another gear to the robot, so the arm can moves quicker, and the claw...
I put a motor onto the claw, so that it can power the claw to open and close. I have attached the motor, but I am trying to figure out how to actually make the caw open. None of the gears fit inside the...
My robot's arm can go up and down. The claw can open and close. However, today I started on the mechanism that will move the claw up and down. Today I added a gear and made the case that will hold the...
I have completely assembled the mechanism that will make the claw go up and down. All I need to do is connect it to the intersection of the claw and the robot's arm.
Today I tested my robot's functions to make sure everything was functioning properly. I changed the style in which my robot moves.
Today I put on another motor, so the robot can be powered to move. I put on two wheels, so that the robot can move.
Today I put on the brain of my robot. This allows me to transmit directions to my robot.
Today I put on the battery. This will power my robot to move. I connected the signal receiver, two motors, and the battery to the brain with wires. This will allow the brain o transmit order, or be transmitted...
Today I put a vertical bar at the end of my robot. I also put a motor on this bar. From this bar I will continue the claw mechanism. The motor on the bar will power the claw to move up and down.
Today I put on the back wheels of my robot. The wheels have bits on them that turn sideways. These wheels will make robot turn which will help controlling it.
Here's a link to the directions i'm going to use https://content.vexrobotics.com/docs/V5-Clawbot-BuildInstructions-0720.pdf
Here is a schedule for how i am going to accomplish this goal
