Claw Robot

VEX v5 clawbot

By: Leo Savitsky

I have finished constructing the robot. It will be able to move and turn in all directions. As shown in the video below the robot can function properly on uneven land. However, it performs better on an even surface. The robot’s arm has a range of about 130 degrees. The stationary claw can open and close. The robot will help students grab equipment around the workplace. Hopefully it will inspire future engineering students to do robots.

The video below shows the final version of my robot in action.

This project relates to engineering because I used different machines to build my robot. During the span of the project I used tools such as the saw and sander. I came up with an idea, designed the robot, and built it.
