Spider-like Robotic Arms Can Be Controlled By Humans
About the new spider-like robotic arms
A Japanese robotics company called Jizai Arms engineered spider-like robotic limbs with six arms that can be controlled by the person wearing them. The arms can be attached and detached and replaced to change the way to communicate using AI. The company says that “the supernumerary robotics limbs consist of 6 wearable base units. The system was designed to enable social interaction between multiple wearers.” This invention can be used between multiple wearers because each arm can be moved around and detached to other parts.
The main goal of these “arms” was to create an AI type of feel, that’s comfortable and natural. This development is leading to a future where humans and machines can work together effortlessly. Because of how easy it is to wear, its simple and can be used to help communicate with AI.
The robotic arms are highly flexible and can perform different tasks in hospitals and warehouses. The movements create a sense of a natural extension of their own body. Different jobs can use these arms to perform surgery, fix parts of vehicles and more. One of the most beneficial ways that these arms can be used are by helping people with disabilities able to move their limbs and the use the spider like arms for daily tasks. People with disabilities and missing limbs could use Jizai Arms as a replacement to do normal day activities.
Jizai Arms show the exciting and innovative possibilities of wearable robotics. With this invention so many people around the world can use the arms in different ways to make their lives easier.
