Nima Pocket Gluten Detector
People with gluten allergies usually have to take a chef’s word when they go out to eat on whether something is gluten-free. Nima lets them test the food themselves. To test if something is gluten-free you just take a very small piece of the item, put it into the capsule that comes out of the Nima and tightly screw the cap on. Then you put the capsule into the Nima and click it into place, press start and the test will start. A smiley face means that it is gluten-free and a sad face means that the food item has gluten in it. The Nima is pocket-sized so you can take anywhere you go. In the future the company plans to expand its ingredient detection to other common food allergies.
