Elon Musk Sent Emails to Every Government Employee Demanding to See Weekly Accomplishments

On February 22, 2025, Elon Musk sent an email to government workers telling them to summarize their weekly accomplishments in five bullet points. This was to prove that they are working efficiently and effectively. He also warned that if anyone didn’t reply, they would be fired. Many workers were shocked by this but later everyone got an email saying that it was optional and they wouldn’t be fired. After this, Trump said anyone who didn’t reply to Musk’s email would be fired.

This affects America because many government workers could have been worried about being fired. Many of them probably thought that they could be fired if they didn’t send a good email. The threat of being fired is terrible and the employees are also not happy about this. Trump has also been firing many workers and shutting down multiple agencies. Many workers in the government think that Elon Musk and Donald Trump are trying to make almost everyone in the government quit their jobs by being cruel to them. Workers in the FBI told people to pause their responses and wait before responding. A lot of people think that Elon Musk is crazy for doing this. Many people were not certain if they should reply to this. Most people who received the email think that it is very disrespectful to all government employees and this should not be happening. Elon Musk said that people don’t need to write much and that it should take a short amount of time to write. People also think that the emails will be assessed by artificial intelligence. This would be very bad because A.I. can make mistakes and it can’t assess things as well as humans.
