Neuromorphic Computing was formulated in the late 1980s by a professor and a PhD student from Caltech University. Professor Carver Mead and Misha Mahowald thought there was an easier way for AI to learn and process information; a way that copied the human brain and nervous system.

As robots are getting progressively more and more advanced, it's not long before we are advanced enough to build humanoid robots, as Elon Musk and Boston Dynamics have already been working on their humanoid robots for years.
