The Hubble Space Telescope, which has been in Earth Orbit for over 3 decades now, is expected to deorbit in 2034, bringing a close to a major asset that has helped NASA and the world at-large understand the universe. In 2022, billionaire and major funder of the Polaris Program, Jared Isaacman, announced that he would fly to Hubble and perform maintenance on the Telescope, and it would be completely funded privately.
In the early hours of June 2, 2024, the Chinese Chang'e 6 lander touched down on the dark side of the Moon. This success marks the second time China has landed on the far side of the Moon, and the second time any country has landed there.
Boeing's Starliner is finally launching with crew to the International Space Station, after several delays and a failed mission. It will launch to the ISS on June 1st, with two crewmembers, Barry "Butch" Wilmore, and Suni Williams, both are former U.S. Navy test pilots.
Last month, on February 22, 2024, NASA and Intuitive Machines landed the first American-made lander on the Moon in over 50 years. that lander, named Odysseus, touched down on the lunar south pole after problems with it's navigation systems.
