This is a simple skill that everyone has, and some people don’t use it at their greatest potential. For example, they struggle with focusing, meaning that they don’t look people in the eyes, they stutter when they talk, and generally don’t speak correctly.
Speaking is a really important skill, as it helps communicate thoughts and ideas. It is necessary to know how to speak properly. If you want to start communicating, better follow these steps:
1: Always try to pronounce words to the best of your ability. Always try to correct yourself when you can, and when you mess up a word always sound it out in your head and then say it slower and with more clarity. Once you have done that come back with a pardon or excuse, for example ( how is my vocabulary… pardon my vocabulary).
2: Always think ahead and have in mind what you’re going to say next – try to use many topics to get to your point, and if you have nothing to say, try to make the sentence short and bold.
3: Build your knowledge of vocabulary. If you always want to sound the best you can and speak professionally, you can learn new words every day so your vocabulary expands and use these words in your sentences.
4: Try to talk to different types of people because this will help you understand how to talk to different individuals with varying personalities. Always be confident when you speak. Start with a hello or a good sentence starter, not “hi,” or, “hey.” Remember to be polite and gentle; get to the point, don’t avoid it of course, but don’t ramble off in the other direction. Be strong, nice, respectful, and open-minded when you speak. Wait for the other person to finish before you talk.
