Flashlights have many parts, and to understand how a flashlight works you will need to know what it is composed of, and how those parts work.
A Flashlight is comprised of three main things:
- you will need to get power for your flashlight to work, and personally i’m not a fan of dragging an extension cord with me everywhere I go. most flashlights have either a power bank, or use batteries.
- A switch is how you turn things on and off. in this case it is used to switch the flashlight on and off.
- Finally the last part, and probably the most important part as well, the bulb.
Now that you now what the three main parts of a flashlight are, let me show you how they work together to light up your way.
First, the switch must be flipped. then the electricity starts “flowing” out of the positive end of the battery, to the light bulb, and then finally back into the negative end of the battery.
FUN FACT:
Contrary to popular belief, electricity doesn’t flow inside the wire but actually uses the wire as a sort of guide. the wire actually makes a magnetic field that pushes the electricity along.
