A few mangrove forest off Australia have developed in the in last several decades. Off Australia’s northern coast, the ancient remains of coral reefs that come from bedrock of multiple wooded islands. The cause of this might be because rising sea levels. These Low Lying tropical oases are home to a variety of animals and plants. As well as mangrove forest they serve as habitats and carbon stores. A Recent survey of one of the many islands show that the growth of seas might have led to a huge mangrove expansion. ”We usually are focusing on areas of mangrove loss,” said Temilola Fatoyinbo who is a NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. Different plants are getting used to thriving across the coastline. That soaks up and is stored as blue carbon. There is many ways to use blue carbon for climate change but there still many questions on how to help the rising sea level.
