YouTube is a platform used for sharing videos. Here is a brief history on it.
Youtube is a Video-sharing platform where you and other people around the world can share their creations. Youtube has been around since 2005 and was made by only 3 people, Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim. They got together because they all shared the struggles of sharing their videos, so they decided to create their own video sharing platform.
At first, YouTube was not popular at all with only a couple of users, But by 2006 YouTube was getting visited by millions everyday. The website was purchased by google for $1.65 Billion. This allowed youtube to access google resources to help it grow to new heights.
Today, everyone uses youtube, with billions of users are hundreds of millions of hours of content. So many people use it as a way to express their creative side and show there opinions and emotions. there are many ways you can use youtube. You can watch memes, support your friends, and even learn things. Youtube can also let creators talk with their fans so they can make suggestions on what videos they would like next.
YouTube has been around for more than 18 years, and it started out with 3 guys who wanted to share their dream.
