The National Army Museum is the official army museum of the United States Army, and it’s just outside Washington D.C. It opened November 11, 2020, and its objectives are to honor the American Army, preserve Army history, and educate the public on the Army’s role in American society. All the exhibits contain legitimate items, meaning actual guns, actual uniforms, the majority of it is the real deal. If you want to learn what makes good soldier in the Army, there’s a movie theater that plays a movie detailing the core traits of the Army. There’s also a gift shop, the gift shop is stupidly overpriced, don’t buy the $30 Swedish fish inside when you could buy many more somewhere else for the same price.

The theater played a wonderful film that described an army man’s job over the years. It was a 3-D projection that had fans on the ceiling. Between war scenes the theater played modern soldiers in formation. Another part of the museum was the wall full of names. The names were of soldiers who were given the Medal of Honor.  When you first walk in there is a wall full of battles that the U.S. contributed in.

There is a section when you get to do missions that the army would do. Virtually of course. The missions are homeland security and rescue mde into a video game simulation. It is so fun so make sure to bring your kids and take some photos!
