We have all seen birds in our lives but have you ever wondered what bird is the most dangerous? Well, the Cassowary is thought to be the most dangerous bird to humans. Cassowary birds cannot fly but, they can run up to 50 kilometers per hour. They won’t attack without a reason but they attack on average 200 humans a year. They are also the heaviest bird in Australia weighing anywhere from 110-160 lbs and 1.5 to 2 meters in height. They are also one of the closest living species to dinosaurs because of their casque. It also only eats fruit and doesn’t even chew. Cassowary birds are one of the few birds that have ever killed a human before. Although it is rare that they can kill you they are still very dangerous. They are not overly aggressive but they are very defensive. Even though they cannot fly they can jump up to 7 feet into the air! They also have sharp dagger-like claws that can reach up to 4 inches long. They can puncture through anything that is a threat and that is including humans. This kind of bird can also use its powerful kick to defend itself if needed. In conclusion, the Cassowary Bird is not all that dangerous if you do not seem like a threat to them.
