Bees are animals that have impacted our world with their pollination, honey, and more.
Bees have helped our world so much by helping our environment, along with being money makers for economy, people making billions of dollar or year because so many global food production companies rely on their contribution. Almost 90% of the plant species need bees to survive, some of the honey, and mostly off the pollination that they provide for the environment. Bess are responsible for one out of three bites of food that we eat. Bees also make honey, that many people enjoy. Honey has also been used for medicinal properties and has numerous health benefits. Honey bees have made over 157 million pounds of honey in 2019, and with the cost of honey at $1.97 per pound, people were able to make over $339 million that year.
In addition to honey, bees also create beeswax, which is the most commonly used wax in cosmetics. Even dating back to ancient times, beeswax has been used to make candles and is used in artist materials such as wood and leather polishes. Bees also make propolis, which is a compound produced to fight infections, heal wounds, and more.
Because bees are excellent pollinators, they have helped different species of flowers grow and helps all plants reproduce. This agricultural benefit of honey bees has added $15 billion to the crop value. Bees in general, keep our ecosystem healthy, support the growth of all plants, and give shelter to other creates. They also make ingredients that benefit humans. Bees impact our world in so many ways.
