What You Need For Camping for a Night
Tools and equipment you need before going camping.
Camping is an experience that I think everyone should try atleast one time in their lives. There are many ways to camp, you can glamp (a more luxurious way to camp), car camp (camping in your car), survival camp (surviving in the woods), tent camp (using a tent while camping) and more. This article is going to be talking about tent camping.
The essential items you would need for tent camping are a tent that will fit you along with anyone else with you. Other items would be a bug and mosquito spray repellent to keep you bug bite free and water, to keep you hydrated. Depending on where you are camping they may provide a campfire without fire wood, you should always bring or buy firewood at the camping ground. The campfire will help you keep bugs and other animals away from the camping ground that may be around the area you are camping. You will also need to have a flashlight or lantern on hand. A first aid kit is also important to bring along just in case someone runs into a problem. You also may want a knife which is helpful if you need something sharp to use and is good for protection. Another item to bring is a cooler to preserve your food.
If you want to have food before you go to bed, you need a small grill or rack that can be placed over your camp fire to hold your pots and pans if you want to make pasta, rice or soup. If you would like something simpler and easier then just bring bread, peanut butter and jelly. You could also bring food items that won’t need any sort of grill or fire to have. You could also work with your fire to make toast, eggs, or anything simple with the equipment you have on hand for breakfast. Depending on what the camp site provides you should always have trash bags so you can dispose of your trash.
If you want comfort while you sleep then you need a sleeping bag and pillow in the tent. If you want to explore the camp then you should bring boots or hiking shoes. Some other good things to bring; even though you may not use them are, cash, sun screen, an ID, a multi-tool device, a power chord (only if the camp has power to your site), duct tape, and an extra pair of clothes.
If you plan just right your overnight camping trip will go fine and be a lot of fun.
