Tigers are the biggest felines. They are usually 6.5 – 11 feet long and around 200 – 680 pounds. Their orange color and black stripes really make them stand out. Females tend to be shorter and less heavier. They can live up to 15 years, and jump from around 16 – 20 feet! Although these strong and fierce felines are endangered.
Around 4,500 tigers are left. The main reason for tigers being endangered are… yep you guessed it, us humans. They have lost their habitat. Deforestation, we have took down SO many forests and it’s really affecting animals habitats. It’s not just tigers that are being impacted because of deforestation, other animals are too. Another reason is poaching (Illegal hunting of animals). They are killed for their parts such as skin and bone. What’s worse is that they illegally trade these parts.
Tigers are really beautiful creature and we don’t want them to be endangered. Here are some facts about tigers!
