Reduce Carbon Dioxide Emissions
What are carbon emissions?
Carbon emissions are carbon dioxide being released up into the atmosphere. Carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas that comes from human, man-mad machines, electrical consumption, industrial manufacture, and naturally. Greenhouse gases are gases that trap heat from the sun on the Earth’s surface, resulting in heating of the Earth or global warming. The reason why global warming is bad is because side effects of it are things like ecosystems being changed massively or just straight up destroyed, also damaging the ozone layer.
How we can reduce emissions
There are several ways of reducing emissions like…
Traveling Green
Traveling green means to use means of transportation that doesn’t produce emissions like cars and planes. Ways you can travel more green is to use the bus or walk/jog to places. Biking and driving in a gas powered car less would also help.
Planting trees
Planting trees is an easy way of reducing emissions because trees absorb carbon dioxide and its convenient because it doesn’t take a lot of effort to plant a tree, nature will grow the tree for you after you plant it.
Eating less meat
A little over 200 grams of carbon dioxide is produced for about 1 gram of meat. The carbon dioxide comes from the animals and the machines that clean and process the meat.
Use more safe energys
You can use solar panels and other renewable energy sources to produce energy for your house, work building, and other things like that.
Those are some ways you can help just by yourself, but here are some changes we can make as a whole society. We can keep fossil fuels from being used as much. We can also invest more in renewable energy sources. A statistic is that 30% of greenhouse gas produced in just America alone is from industry including indirect electrical consumption.
