Nusantara, the City of the Future
Nusantara is a soon to be futuristic city in the Indonesia. With the rising water levels and pollution in Jakarta there will be need for a new capital. This capital will be able to house around 2 million people. In Jakarta there is 10.56 million so not everyone can live here in Nunsantara. Though there are problems when it comes to construction, they will be building in a forest and their is a risk of leaving multiple species with no habitat, there are trying to find a solution to this. There are currently going to be This city is supposed to be finished on August 18th 2024. The total area of Nunsantara is to be around 2,561.42 km2 (988.97 square miles). There is 100,000 plus workers from all over Indonesia working on this city. They started the construction in July of 2022. The city is to be located in the province of East Kalimantan. The price of this project is set to be around 34 Billion US Dollars. Jakarta is sinking due to global warming making the sea levels rise. Though at this rate Jakarta is set to be fully sunken by 2050. What are your thoughts about this city?
