How to Build Muscle
Have you ever wondered how your body builds your muscle? Let’s say you went to the gym for the first time, you came back home and you’re exhausted. You go to the mirror and you see that your muscles are exactly the same and… nothing happened, so you get frustrated. You find a video online about how your muscles won’t grow the first time so you go back again workout nothing the cycle keeps going for 2 months. Then something just snaps you go and look one day and you have built a bit of muscle after that you are gaining so much muscle. Let me explain how that happens.
Hypertrophy
Hypertrophy (the building of muscle) describes the growth of muscle cells through exercise. This is only achieved thru weight lifting, but there are other ways to build muscle like calisthenics, however weight lifting is the fastest way to achieve your goals. Let us go more in what happens to your muscle fibers. When you are lifting heavy weights, your muscles actually make micro tears which needs mostly water and protein, so after a workout, it’s best to drink water and eat something high in protein like chicken to allow your body to repair all those micro tears. You also need good sleep otherwise all that exercising will be for nothing.
