Everything to Know About the Apple Watch Ultra

In september of 2022, the apple watch ultra came out along with the iPhone 14 and the apple watch series 8. This watch is (in my opinion) the biggest change in an apple watch that apple has ever came out with.
Design
The screen of the apple watch ultra is the biggest their has ever been measuring at 49mm (almost 2 inches). It also has a deeper grooved digital crown which is the knob on the side of the watch. There is now an extra button on the side called the action button. The action button can do things like launch workouts and apps. The screen of the all new watch is very bright topping at about 2000 nits. Incase of emergency, there is an 86 decibel siren which is about as loud as a lawn mower. With a bigger and clunkier design, a bigger and clunkier battery can fit inside. The new apple watch can last 36 hours on a full charge as the previous models could only last 14 hours. There is also a new power saving mode similar to the one on the iPhones. When the apple watch ultra is on power saving mode, it can last an entire 60 hours on a full charge.
Why Should I Buy this Watch?
If you like things like kitesurfing, wakeboarding, and other water activities, you can now comfortably use this watch as previous watches were not recommended. You can also go diving in the ocean as it is certified to WR100 and EN 13319 meaning it is an international standard for diving accessories. Similar to the iPhone 14 series, the apple watch has crash detection that can track if you have gotten into a car crash and will alert the police/fire department if there has been a severe car crash. It also senses if you’ve taken a hard fall which will alert emergency services like crash detection.
Conclusion
The only con with the Apple watch ultra is the price, it costs just around $800 dollars but if you have a reason to get the apple watch ultra rather than getting a series 8 it is definitely worth it. Regardless of the price though, the apple watch ultra is a big innovation and will change the way we look at smart watches.
