When you think of armored vehicles, you think big, bulky and not the fastest, but the AddArmor Audi RS7 Is the worlds fastest armored car.
The vehicle can go from 0-60 mph in 2.9 seconds and has a top speed of 202 mph, with 760 horsepower from it’s twin-turbo V8 engine.
Behind The Armor
The company AddArmor wrapped the Audi RS7 in a mixture of polycarbonate and ballistic glass to protect the inside of the car. The company chose polycarbonate instead of heavy steel plating to make the car lighter. The armor is able to withstand bullets, explosions, and blunt objects being thrown at it.
Extra Gadgets
The car is not only armored, but it comes with spy movie type gadgets! The car is equipped with pepper spray that comes out of a small nozzle, the doors are equipped with electric shock handles, and tear gas is dispensed out of two canisters. The car also features a 360-degree camera with night vision.
Pricing
Obviously, a car with this much protection comes with a price. AddArmor says that their RS7 starts at around 205,000, but comes with anti-intrusion add-ons for the vehicle for starting at 28,000.
