Flying cars have always been a dream for the future, but recently they’ve become a lot more realistic. AirCar by Klein is a two person vehicle that’s able to fly as well as drive on the road. It was made by a Slovakian company called Klein Vision which is run by founders Stefan Klein and Anton Zajac.

Some people may be concerned about the safety of the passengers while riding in the AirCar, but rest assured there is a parachute deployment system intact for the car. Other features in the car include retractable wings, folding tail surfaces, and more.

They’ve made many versions of different cars like the four seat version, amphibious version, and twin engine version. The AirCar made it’s first flight in between the airports of Nitra Int. Airport to Bratislava Int. Airport. The flight took place on June 28th, 2021, and it was very successful.

The AirCar received a certification to fly around within Slovakian airs freely. This unusual achievement was awarded after the car finished 70 hours of flight testing, and 200+ takeoffs/landings. The certification came from the Slovak Transportation Authority, and the requirements to earn it came from the European Aviation Safety Agency.

AirCar only needs to obtain aircraft-type certification to start manufacturing the car commercially.
