The Parker Solar Probe

Nasa’s Parker Solar Probe becomes the first-ever spacecraft to enter the sun’s upper atmosphere. This part of the sun is called the “corona” and can reach temperatures of about 2 million degrees Celsius. It is made of very tough material to withstand high temperatures. It was launched in 2018 and just touched the sun 2 days ago, so it is a very big deal in the space field. Its max speed is 430-thousand miles per hour and it weighs 685 kg. It was a very risky and costly spacecraft, it costs over 1.5 billion dollars!
