Marine Automation Engineers design, program, simulate and test automated machinery and processes in order to complete exact tasks. Marine Automation Engineers are also responsible for design specifications and other detailed documentation of their creators. The job seeker shall have to know of commercial marine automation designs including Programmable Logic Controller(PLC) based logic control systems for marine propulsion, power management, auxiliary control, and integrated bridge systems. The job seeker shall also be able to do a review of failure mode effects analysis and dynamic response analysis submissions.

Requirements 

• Must be 15+ years DoD/DoN program management, Government technical management, or Industry business management
• Understanding of: DoD/DoN procedures and Policies (DoD 5000 process); Foreign Military Sales; Military Sealift Command procedures and processes; Supervisory experience; experience communicating with SES/Flag level personnel; shipbuilding experience
• Preferred: Professional Engineer License
• Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering; Preferred: Master’s degree in Engineering
• US Citizen with Secret Security Clearance
