WasteShark is an aqua drone that cleans up trash from oceans. Developed by RanMarine Technology in 2016, their company’s goal is to protect living organisms in the oceans. WasteShark can carry 350 kilograms of trash at once, even though it only weighs thirty-nine kilograms. The WasteShark’s remote controller cost $17,000. The machine itself cost $23,000.

The WasteShark depends on many parts to work. The propellers of the machine help the WasteShark move. The scanners find and scan the ocean surface for trash. The scanners can also check for water quality.

The WasteShark can pick up floating debris, plastic, and micro-plastics in water, as well as alien vegetation like duckweed and English ivy.

In conclusion, WasteShark is one of the new innovations that can help clean up debris and alien vegetation.
