Who invented the potato chip? The answer is George Crum. Crum worked at the Moon Lake Lodge Resort in New York state and was dealing with a very grouchy customer. The customer had ordered French fries, one of the most popular items on the menu. He kept on sending the fries back saying they were too thick and soggy. He kept on doing this, and finally, Crum lost it and made the fries paper-thin and very crispy. instead of complaining though, the customer actually loved it! It was a huge success and Crum was able to open his own restaurant, which was famous for its potato chips.
