The longest suspension bridge is in Arouca. It is 1,692 feet long and is 570 feet above its river level. It has been under construction since 2018. its inspiration came from the Inca bridges, which spanned to Andes mountain valleys. Two v-shaped concrete towers support this hanging bridge and notedly takes about ten minutes to walk across. This attracted many tourists to come by and see this bridge for themselves. But since the pandemic, this was a problem for the people in charge of the suspension bridge. But luckily, they devised a plan, they would encourage locals to stay home and tourists to come by in small groups and check it out. The locals were able to come by essentially any time they wanted.
